Profile and Curriculum of Bachelor Study Program
A. Education Objective
- EO-1. Graduates will have the ability to be researchers in research institutions of biology, environment, forestry and agriculture.
- EO-2. Graduates will be able to be consultants in genetics, environment, park and landscape planning.
- EO-3. Graduates will be able to be staffs in plantation, forestry, coastal and fishery, and ecotourism sectors.
- EO-4. Graduates will have ability to be analyst in laboratories, biodiversity curator, quality control, anatomy pathology, and environmental quality inspection

Fokus dan Konsisten, merupakan hal yang langsung mengkristal saat membalik lembar demi lembar buku “Ragam Khasiat Serat Pangan Tanaman Umbi dan Rimpang” yang ditulis Putra Santoso PhD. Buku setebal 175 halaman terbitan akhir 2022 ini merupakan buku ketiga karangan Putra Santoso PhD yang menguraikan tentang khasiat serat pangan dari umbi dan rimpang yang ada di sekitar kita. Buku pertama “Isolasi dan Uji Khasiat Serat Bengkuang” (2020) dan “Serat Bengkuang Sebagai Anti Penyakit Metabolik” (2021) menjadi tonggak (milestone) bukti tertulis penjelajahan Putra Santoso PhD dalam menggali potensi keanekaragaman hayati yang ada di sekitar, kita baik sebagai sumber pangan alternatif maupun khasiatnya dalam mengatasi berbagai penyakit metabolic yang berkaitan dengan pola konsumsi.

Entering the beginning of 2023, seminars that are routinely carried out by the Biology Department of Andalas University are being held again by inviting presenters who discuss interesting and popular topics in the world of conservation today. The seminar known as the Guest Lecture was held on Wednesday, January 4 2023 at 10.00 - 12.00 WIB. This seminar was held in a hybrid manner in the Unand Biology Department building and Media Zoom so that it could be attended online or offline. On this occasion, the Seminar Guest Lecture will raise the topic "Evolutionary Biology, Systematics and Biogeography: Theory and Applications". The material will be delivered by an Alumni from the Department of Biology Unand who has completed his Doctorate at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) and is currently pursuing Postdoctoral education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
